What We Store

WeeklyDots is designed with privacy in mind. Here's exactly what happens with your data:

Your Birthday

When you enter your birthday, it's stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and sent to our server to render your calendar preview. We don't log or store this data from preview requests—it's only used to generate the image and then discarded.

Wallpaper Configuration

When you create a personal wallpaper URL, we store your configuration on our servers so the URL can generate your wallpaper. This includes:

• Birthday (date only)
• Timezone
• Theme preferences (colors, dot shape, layout)

This data is linked only to a random token in your URL—not to your name, email, or any account. It automatically expires after 1 year of inactivity.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand how people use the site and improve performance. These tools collect anonymous, aggregated data—no personal information, no tracking across sites.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. The only storage we use is localStorage for your convenience (remembering your birthday between visits).

Your Rights

You can clear your locally stored birthday anytime by clearing your browser data. Your server-stored wallpaper configuration expires automatically, or you can simply stop using the URL.
